Celerant Highlights: AI, POS Software and Omnichannel Innovation

Retail technology leaders gather in Dallas to explore software updates, inventory strategies, and industry trends.

September 8, 2026

Iselin, NJ—Celerant Technology recently hosted its 2026 Client Conference in Dallas, Texas. The annual event, held in May at the Westin Stonebriar Golf Resort, brought together independent retailers, technology partners, and industry leaders from the sporting goods, outdoor, apparel, footwear, pet, and specialty retail sectors for education and collaborative workshops.

This year, Celerant introduced some of the largest product updates in its 25-year history. The company showcased Skylar IQ, a new AI-powered retail agent, alongside the Customer Engagement Suite (CES), which connects email, SMS, social media, online reviews, and live chat into one marketing platform. Attendees also previewed a completely redesigned POS and back-office interface, a standalone downloadable POS application with updated hardware support, and new AI eCommerce features like Predictive Search and Recommended Products.

The event featured presentations and open panel discussions with established industry partners, including automated tax compliance leader Avalara, omnichannel fulfillment provider Quivers, and mobile marketing platform OtterText.

Key retail sessions included:

  • AI and Retail Innovation: A deep dive into how independent stores can use AI-driven features to save time on administrative tasks, personalize online shopping, and analyze business performance.
  • Merchandise Planning and Inventory Strategy: Focused on product hierarchy, stock balance, and ordering strategies designed to help retail buyers reduce overhead costs and maximize margin profitability.
  • Omnichannel Commerce and Customer Engagement: A practical workshop demonstrating how to link physical storefronts with digital channels using unified inventory data, connected point-of-sale systems, and automated email tools.

The conference also featured Celerant’s first-ever client golf outing, providing attendees, integration partners, and product experts with a dedicated space to network and discuss industry trends outside traditional meeting rooms.

As retail demands change, Celerant continues to focus on developing connected software that helps independent businesses streamline their daily operations, manage inventory efficiently, and grow their businesses online and in-store.
